Brad Sherman (D)

Father, I pray for Representative Brad Sherman. May he humble himself and ask for your wisdom during this troubled time. May he follow godly principles as he decides how to vote on issues. May he love our country and desire to see it healed and protected. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a close walk with Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we Pray Representative Brad Sherman is convicted that he is created in Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, word, decision and action against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Sherman sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill (Matthew 5:14) for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven (Rev. 14:6). We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen

Daniel 2: 20-21(NAS )"Daniel said, 'Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding.' " May you be strengthened daily by God's joy. May you experience His Sabbath rest as needed, and may you hear His voice clearly as He gives you the wisdom needed to serve your constituents, in Jesus' name, amen. Nehemiah 8: 10

Father God in I lift this representative of the people of his district and state before the congress in prayer. Representing the views, values, and protecting their unique abilities to contribute to this great nation. Give unto him a unique understanding in these confusing and dificult times. Make clear the intent within legislation brought before him. Give him perfect values to justly weigh these matters before the congress and the nation. Grant special health, safety, and prosperity to him, his family, and the people he represents before the nation. Preserve that which is special and dear to him. In Jesus name I pray. God be glorified in the name of your son. Amen and Amen.

Dearest Lord, I ask that Representative Sherman would walk in integrity and strive to live a life of moral excellence. Open his eyes to see truth and give him wisdom to know the truth that will set him free. Break his heart for what breaks Yours, Father, and open his ears to truly hear as You direct His path. Do not allow him to be swayed by another's opinions, but give him the courage to stand for godliness and truth, even when it is not the popular choice. May he seek You and find You, Lord, as he seeks You with all his heart. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken by Christian prayer warriors, into the life of Brad Sherman has taken deep root. We pray he has been convicted to see himself as You see him, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) at this time in history. We pray that Representative Sherman is convicted of John 3:16, that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "...The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding," (Job 28:28). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24), and that he is convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he represents California and the United States of America.
